Costa Victoria Day 3 and 4 Phuket

Day 3
I went for the a-la-carte breakfast at the Fantasia restaurant.

Queued up for the tender tickets outside the Festive theatre. After that the staff directed us to our tender boat.

I think the rain cloud followed everywhere I go. Rained in Taiwan when I was there in June.... now rained whole morning and afternoon in Phuket!

It took us almost two hours to reach Pang Nga bay - no wonder the charge was 3500 baht to tour Pang Nga and additional 1000 baht for phuket town area.
First stop to the Suwannakuha temple which was a limestone cave with the sleeping Buddha. There are many monkeys outside the temple and many tourists were feeding them. I was so awed by the stalagmites and stalactites in the cave.

We rented a long tail boat for 3 hours at 3000baht from the Phang Nga jetty.

But as it was drizzling we decided not to canoe but took the photos from a distance. We enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at Pangyee island.

The residents are mainly
Muslims.

Making our way to the restaurant on Panyee island.

Decided to explore this floating village

Surprised by the large number of stalls on the floating village

She has carefully portioned our sweet and sour fish - so tasty and fresh!

The tom yam soup

Love the coffee

The whole meal cost us 2240baht

Our long tail boat also brought us to a limestone wall with ancient paintings. We passed through many mangroves and limestone formations.

Where the tourists can rent a canoe to explore the collapsed limestone cave.I would have gone for it if not for the drizzle.

Amazing ride passing through mangroves and look how low the clouds are floating pass the hills in the background

Can't believe how crowded James bond island tour was with tourists despite the rain.

Our driver brought us to Phuket town where we shopped at the Expo mall and later at the Nakka night market.

We had dinner at this stall at Nakka night market

The sticky rice is so fragant and soft

Simply love this which tested like otah but not as spicy.

Love their potato balls. Better than the ones I took in Taiwan!

Back to patong jetty to take the tender board back to our ship.

Went to grab a pizza for supper - was so good that we finished it before I took a photo. We did not try the noodle.

Day 4

Ordered breakfast in the room which is free of charge.

Went for the a-la-carte lunch at the Fantasia restaurant

The rain stopped so we went to deck 11 and sat by the pool and took some burger and sausage from the Bolero restaurant next to it.

Today is the Venetian carnival - saw from previous post that masks were given to them but now we have to buy/

Collected the whole family of bears by buying the scratch cards.

waited in the festive theatre for the 'Michael Jackson" show.

Ice as Michael Jackson - he is so friendly

Took some photos in Victorian costume before dinner. My smile was kind of frozen as I felt awkard with people looking at us. This will complete the Chinese and Japanese costume we took in Taiwan. As we took the photos with the costume, the cost is US$25 per photo but they only charge me for 4 instead of 6.

Decided to have hotpot today - US$25 per pax

The prawns were good so I ordered another plate of just prawn - no additional charge - just make sure you can finish what you order. Told them not to include the mussel as both myself and hubby do not take them. Again we were the only patrons so the waiter attended only to us!

Venetian carnival - so crowded

wearing the mask I bought

Remember I said I love the crunchy dumpling - ordered again for supper!
