Singapoliday 1 @Fullerton Hotel

Day 1

Our staycation 1 at the Fullerton Hotel 8 to 10 Dec 2020. Tourist in home country Singapoliday. I have booked the weekday indulgence club access package via klook.

Beautiful hotel rich in heritage as it used to house the General Post Office and government offices. Gratitude for the staycation in a National monument to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary.

The underpass which connect the hotel to One Fullerton.

Had our lunch at Little sheep hotpot at One Fullerton.

Being the tourist today at the Merlion Park.

Cavenagh bridge, the oldest bridge in Singapore, in front of the hotel.

Interesting art installation of metallic spheres in front of Empress Place Asian Civilisation Museum which used to be our immigration centre. Found out that it is called 24 Hours in Singapore, by Baet Yeok Kuan. The admission to ACM is free for Singaporeans.

The sunken treasures on exhibit in the ACM.

Hotel staff called to say the room is ready at 2 plus so we went back to the hotel to check in.

The hotel was kind to upgrade the courtyard room to that of a room with city view. At least we are able to see whether it is raining outside.

Hubby loves the soccer channel most.

The tiny little view of river from the balcony.

Love the coffee. The hotel is generous to provide four types of capsules.

Had the complimentary afternoon high tea at Straits Club. Love the tea.  I tried the Pai Mu Tan and hubby had Vanilla Bourbon. The tea were awesome. Can't say so for the tea snacks, especially the sweet ones.  Savoury snacks can be refilled. Prefered the savoury, especially the sandwiches.

Thank you Fullerton. You remembered. Our 27th wedding anniversary. The cake is nice but they missed out the anniversary deco.

Beautiful artwork on display near Straits Club.

At Straits Club for complimentary evening cocktail and canapes. Fish burger, beef lasagne, angel hair pasta. Kueh lapis, panda cake and macaroons. Hubby love the angel hair with truffle oil. He added another red wine 😅. I love my cocktails ~ Gimlet and Singapore sling.

Hubby's favourite. Truffle angel hair

Fell in love with the pool. Especially when you can rest your head and you look at the stars. My favourite part of the hotel! You can also see the boat cruise by in the Singapore river. However hubby's swimming goggles strap broke... Need to look for one tomorrow as he can't see without his (750).

Peking duck and lobster noodle from Jade restaurant. Wanted to satisfy my yearning for the Peking duck I had in JB... it made it worse.. the standard is far below. Price is three time more. However the service was good.

Day 2

Chandon Breakfast (addition of champagne to the usual breakfast menu) by the river side. I like the congee with dim sum. Not so for the laksa

Simply love the infinity pool with a great view of Singapore river.

Lunch at the Landing point at Fullerton Bay hotel.
The chicken rice is delicious but expensive.

Went back to the hotel for the afternoon tea. Going to skip the evening cocktail as we have already booked our visit to Gardens by the Bay.

Grab to Gardens by the Bay. @Flower dome

At the forest cloud dome

Christmas Wonderland. No wow factor and long queue

The palm trees look like bunches of roses from the sky walk

At the sky walk

360 views at the domes in Gardens by the Bay and Skywalk.

Last night at the hotel.

Day 3
Breakfast by the river side again. Glad they have vermicelli today. Roti Prata was a bit too hard and the gravy too spicy. Kaya toast with soft boiled eggs is a comfort food for hubby. He loves the pancake too. Again the staff is awesome, esp Abigel

Gratitude to the heritage monument tour by the hotel. Our awesome guide Thomas who used to work in the Custom house. He told us many stories, catering for Singaporeans. Went up to the lighthouse but was closed. Only available on Thurs and Sat for hotel guests. Need to book ahead as only four guests per session.
