Bad traffic jam which took us two and a half hour to reach the hotel from our house. It usually takes us 1 to 1.5 hr from our house to the hotel.
Grateful to Hotel Jen for such a nice set up for our 27th ROM anniversary. Reception by Aliyah was superb as she even brought us to the room. The cake was definitely a warm welcome by the hotel though it was pretty hard. The view from the room overlooking the harbour is amazing.
Had the hairy crab set at Bukit Indah Dragon I. Love the soup, smoked fish, and the ginger tea. The dessert is unique with bubur hitam and rice ball. Of course the star was the steamed hairy crab and crab in steamed egg. A bit small though.
Wow I think the complimentary food from the club lounge with cocktail from 5 to 7 pm is ample for dinner 😅 but I did not take much as I had already reserved a table for dinner. No cocktail though a lot of other alcohol such as wine, beer, whisky, volka...
Shocked that though I had made my booking the seafood buffet is already booked for private event... Nice view from the pool. Shall come back for a swim. Decided to explore the area for food.
Pleasantly surprised to find the BBQ chicken wings which are flattened like kimdo in mana cafe near to hotel Jen (beside Somerset hotel). Taste as good! However Satay is not as good as the one at Taman Sentosa. There is also goreng pisang! But cold... And find out that there is otak made of chicken meat! Shall try that tomorrow. Bought some drinks and snacks from the 24hr supermarket opposite. There is also a 24hr eatery too. Mana cafe is opened 24 hr and maybe I should try the lok lok.
Called room service and can't believe they don't have fish and chips at eight plus😥. Went down to Sushi King on ground floor to pack back some food. Luckily not bad 😋
Day 2
Beautiful sunrise from the room. Like a painting with the mist from the air conditioning in my room.
What a spread for breakfast. Highly rated esp the roti prata.
Took a stroll from Hotel to the cruise centre (ferry to batam only). Picturesque.

More food at the club lounge breakfast complimentary. Love the porridge with condiments. The lotus flowers are blooming outside the lounge. Beautiful view of harbour and the place is so serene.
Relaxing at the infinity pool. Good for a swim. Very safe with a life guard on duty.

Complimentary evening cocktail with snack at club lounge... Think that will be dinner with a view for us. The coffee butter cream cake is no nice I went for second round. Preferred yesterday's bee hoon compared to to today's mee goreng but both equally good. Don't quite like the prawn which tasted more like otak. They could really change the soup. Think it was also tomato yesterday. But still thankful for the food.

Breakfast at Harbour Cafe .... Half boiled Egg is cold... Even lontong was cold. The coffee not as good as club lounge. Decided to go to the club lounge for its coffee...Only plus is the Chee Cheong fun and teh tarik today.
Love the coffee in the club lounge. We were the only two in the club lounge. Took a cheese and fruit platter. Shall come back here for the breakfast tomorrow. Lotus flower and koi outside the lounge.
Massage at Reluxspa in KSL.
Lunch at Eastern Dragon opposite KSL. Always love their Peking Duck and foie gras. Tried their set for today. Nice!
They run out of fish slice so it was replaced with char siew.
Went to Mid valley South key and gotten some clothing.
The hor fun at Mana Cafe is very nice. Went back for the chicken wings but asked for it without chilli. The tahu bakar is nice but the sauce is too spicy for us. Hubby love his lamb rack. The ayam pepes tasted exactly like otak!
Day 4

Beginning to love the infinity pool. The view is so amazing and quiet.
Went all the way to city square as I miss Ho Seng Kee wanton mee. I like the durian dessert too Glad they improved on the dumpling. Happy to see one student here.

Hotel gave RM100 food credit so decided to go to sky bar and use it up. I ordered cosmopolitan and hubby their signature cola location. The beef satay is so soft. Nice!
Love the smoked salmon with my wine and and screwdriver drink (orange juice w volka).
The strawberry cake is nice but not the banana bread. I think they have fried beehoon and noodles only weekend.
Will miss the view from the hotel.
Lok Lok at Mana Cafe. The prawns and scallop was good but the sotong was not fresh.

The chicken wings and pan seared scallops were nice at Rock Bottom restaurant. The Rainbow Sangria was very strong. Beer on promotion. Hubby's eyes glued on the soccer game.
Day 5
Decided to eat at club lounge as cafe was crowded. So quiet here with only two of us. Asked for scrambled eggs for hubby and soft boiled eggs for myself. You can also get the omelette or sunny side up.
Took my comfort food porridge with condiments again.
Was at my hotel dim sum restaurant. Awful dim sum which I will not recommend. The place is only nice for taking photo.
DC comics restaurant
Nice display and food. Ordered jumbo hot dog and hubby fish and chips. Too bad no coffee. ordered the floats which come in containers featuring Wonder woman and batman.
Late check out at 3pm so just have coffee and fruits with nuts at Starbuck. Was supposed to be a serene place facing the harbour but the big big crows seemed to spoil the ambient.
