Had a learning journey at SIT after a talk on competency-based education with stackable learning in SIT.
The campus is so sustainable, environmentally, socially and economically.
So much greenery in the building to reduce urban island effect.
High security.
Economic sustainability. Some of the partners are located at the Punggol. The bridge link the campus to Punggol digital district where the work is. It also reduce the transport cost.
Just like the halls and offices in the building, the auditorium has sensors which detect movements. The lights will be switched on when it detects the presence of people via movements.
The campus is also very inclusive, with lifts and ramps for the wheelchair users.
A really nice view of Coney Island from the canteen. Many students gather here and a common space which promotes social sustainability.
The students have to bring their own cups for drinks to reduce on the use of disposables.
The solar panels on top of the canteen.
The micro grid, with energy from solar etc, can support the whole campus even if there is an island wide electricity failure.
