JB getaway

Day 1

2 hour jam at the causeway. Slightly hazy.

First stop. Ah Hua Kuey Teow. Love the taste! RM18 medium with lots of ingredients. Sliced meat, minced meat, abalone slice, pork liver and kidney.

Went to midvalley southkey to eat the hairy crab at i-dragon but disappointed it was not available. Hubby managed to get his MU jersey though.

Needed to get a massage to rest the aching body. JTC has expanded to 2 more outlets JC and JTC2 nearer to KSL. Foot message is RM40 and body is RM60 per hour. One third of what I paid in Singapore.

Love the wok hei fried kway teow and a triangular puff Somasa with cabbage, onion and potatoes. Simply yummy. Missed the goreng pisang. Will need to come earlier tomorrow for it at Sing Li restaurant, just opposite KSL side entrance.

Holiday Villa is still my no. 1 choice in JB cos its so close to makan places, massage and shopping!
Nice infinity pool and amenities too.

A favourite to go for in JB. ARASHI shabu shabu at KSL.

The chilli is very addictive.

The view at night is beautiful.

Day 2

The breakfast has a greater spread now.
The red curry chicken smelled and tasted so good. The steamed sweet potato with cononut and gula mela supperb. The fried bee hoon, baby potato, sunny side up,  peach and papaya are  good too.
Love the crunchy salted fish with my porridge.oʻ Comfort food.
The caramel latte coffee is nice and so is the hot soya milk.
Dod not take their star dish nasi lemak today. There is also prawn mee.
However it is very crowded.

Another round of breakfast at nearby Yit foh. Love the flavourful egg noodle rich with lard oil. The Wanton is silk like and the soup reminds me that of what I had when I was a child. The prawn cracker is crunchy and nice but wished there were more prawns like the one i had at the 8 temples.

At Carton King in Space residency, just opposite Yit foh,

Grabbed over to Sutera Mall. Lunch at Pekin Sutera.
Nice Ambience. Big fishes and lobsters in the aquarium but we are here for the roasted suckling pig and the peking duck.

The roasted suckling pig is really good. Crunchy and flavourful. So much better than the one we had in Bangkok. The Pekin duck wrapped in the pancake is good too but I find the sauce too sweet. Would be better with the seafood sauce which is more salty.

Another main reason for the hotel

Excellent Massage at Siver Thai Spa. So good that I have booked Mon as well! So much better than JC. Both ambience and masseur massage skills were good. So much relieved after the massage. Took the aromatic warm oil 2 hours. New massage place taking over the spot where there uses to be a coffeeshop near to JTC.

Went to SQ foot bath massage KSL for the foot massage. My husband got a good masseur but not me. Mine keep pausing as he go for a drink or when he is distracted by the TV.

Very good durian Blackthorn from Pahang at KSL. Also bought coconut drink to reduce the heatiness of the durian.

So expensive and not fresh at Tian Lai seafood restaurant. The fish cost RM220 and with vegetables, white rice and beer cost more than RM322.

Fireworks

Day 3

Grabbed over to Cedar point for the kway teow kia which is like our kway chap.

Lucky cat cafe at Paradigm Mall UG 38

At Kopi Raykyat. The chocolate coffee walnut cake is very nice. Very rich chocolate, not too sweet a tinge of salt. Yummy. Already taken two bites then remembered to take a photo. 😅

Love the sesame oil chicken. So tender. Must eat with salted vegetable. Bak kut Teh average but I love the soup. Here more for the sesame oil chicken at Soon Huat Bak Kut Teh Taman Sentosa.

Disappointed that the Goreng Pisang was sold out. The crispy prawn rolls are yummy at Sing Li restaurant.

Grabbed to Aeon Tebrau city for shopping. Bought my shoes and hubby got his Jersey.
Crossed over to Toppen have KFC.

Grabbed to Pasar Karat and realised that it had moved to a new location. Thanks to our grab driver. However only gotten some socks there . Not really worth the ride there. There were vendors selling cats. Poor things.

Love the JB lok lok outside KSL main entrance. Ordered my favourite black century quail eggs, bak kwa, fish ball, small crabs, mushroom and prawn. Hubby ordered fried Kway Teow.
