Science Centre LJ for Sec 3

The Sec 3NA/Express students attended an Amazing Chemistry workshop before exploring the Earth: Our untamed planet gallery and other galleries in Science Centre on 28 June 2019. The 3NT students attended a workshop on (NOT) rocket science.

Coastal GI

Was on hospitalisation leave and thank God Mr Ng, June, Rahimah and Andrea helped.

GI 13 April 2019 ECP

The students measured the wave frequency, Longshore drift, beach profile as well as investigated the impact of human activities and the use of human structures in protecting the coast.

Sec 1 GI at Punggol Waterway

Brought my 2 classes of Sec 1 students to Punggol waterway to investigate "How clean is our waterway?" on 4th and 11th March 2019.
The students observed the human activities around the Punggol waterway as well how human activities are affected by the waterway. The students also did a field sketch of the waterway.

The dam built across the waterway to trap the water.

 Some construction on the opposite bank. How would this affect the waterway?

The weather was not to our favour on 11 March. Temperature was low at 24.1 degree Celsius and it was very windy and rained.

floating turbidity barrier help to stop silt from entering the water body and also keep the aquatic vegetation in place. It also help to trap rubbish and prevent it being washed into the water.

The beautify and clean waterway - a place where people relax. A bridge as seen in the background helped to connect the two river banks.

The dam help to trap the body of water to form the reservoir.

The sign board which remind the people not to litter and pollute the reservoir.

The workboat which helps to clean the waterway parked at the side of the dam.

This was done earlier in class- water testing. PH value of 7 Dissolved oxygen level of 4ppm

NUS Geography Challenge 2019

Proud that the team made greater achievements in the individual round this year - Javier awarded Gold (top 10%), Hui Min and Macarie Bronze (Top 30%). A great feat looking at all the top students from top schools.

Javier was also selected for the Geog Talent Program 2020.
