Norwegian Jade Day 5 Penang

Assembled at Tankards at 6.30am. However the place was so empty that I thought we are at the wrong meeting place.  Finally alighted at the pier around 7.10am.

Started drizzling so just went to a nearby stall to eat breakfast. The roti bakar is so soft with crunchy crust and thick kaya.

Waited outside the pier for our grab. RM12 to Penang hill.should be around 16 mins to the base station.

Awaiting the funicular to the top station. Map of Penang hill.

Reached Penang hill and bought admission to the love pavilion and the place which they sell honey. They prepared the photos and souvenir so fast - RM10 for photo and RM10 for the magnet frame. The 2 in a set with frame at RM 35.

The cloud enveloping the town made the view so picturesque.

Near the owl museum and saw the first generation funicular train. Saw a big group of students here.

Way to the Habitat. A well preserved nature park. Entry is RM55 per pax

Amazing place to capture the rich bio of a rainforest.

Tree top bridge - more frightening than the sky bridge in Langkawi

Tree top walk in Habitat, Penang hill.

Funicular ride down Penang hill on 19 Dec 2019.
Was shocked to hear that it broke down on 21 Dec 2019. Gratitude I was able to visit the amazing Habitat and made it back to the ship and continued with our cruise. Amazing rainforest! No wonder the King and Queen of Malaysia also visited the Habitat on 21 Dec 2019 at 4.30pm before the funicular train broke down after they left at 7pm.

Lunch at Lorong Selamat in Penang. Second visit still loving the char kway teow.

Went over to the Lee Jetty after lunch. So hot that I could not go to the Hai Long temple nearby.

 Went to the Wonderfood museum

Food should be fun. Thought it was an messy table and didn't realised it was Mona Lisa picture.

Photos taken by the photographer at Wonderfood museum in Penang. All 4 print out for RM80 and he was so nice to let me copy all the 10 photos into my USB.

Not all are big in the museum. Small miniatures at Wonderfood museum.

Walked back to our pier from Wonderfood museum. Passed by Sri Weld food court and saw that they have claypot chicken rice. Simply delicious!

Pleasantly surprised to see such a spread of treats awaiting us when we are back in our cabin.

Ordered dinner to our room again as we set sail. Beautiful sunset from the balcony.

Went to the theatre for a wonderful performance by ballroom dancers.

Listening to the band Sirius Four and drinking our cocktails. Hubby has Mr Worldwide and me Rebellious Fish.

Grabbed some snacks at O'Sheehan while listening to the singing and guitar performance from the Atrium. The roasted tomato soup was too salty. The shepherd pie would be better with beef alone rather than mixed with lamb. Like the ice cream but not the apple pie.
