Fort Canning and National Museum

A short tour of national museum before our lunch at the flutes

Love that the location of the restaurant is in the heritage building. However ambience is spoilt by the noise from a nearby event and another table. The servers were great though. The food just average. Hubby had foie gras and steak which pales against So France. I had foie gras and lamb brik. I like the crust which is thin and crisp. The bread and butter paled against corner House's. The coffee was nice. The lemon grass Panna cotta was very nice. The Chocolate and caramel fudge not as good as the cake or brownie was too hard.

Cross over to Fort Canning park and took a photo. Almost 30 years ago when we took the photo at the fort gate after our registration of marriage.

Photo taken Nov 1992

This heritage tree buttress root is so gigantic.. must be 3 metres tall!

Famous spiral staircase. Long queue so didn't wait as many visitors from Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines were attracted by the instagram worthy pictures online.. It's actually out of the park beyond the Fort canning hotel near the underpass.

Decided to take some tea at Le Jardin. Love the restaurant deco which is full of flowers. Love the scallop aburi. Nice ambience and I would really recommend this place.
Ordered rose tea and Earth Angel mocktail.
Excellent service 👍
