I am attending a 2 day workshop on the use of IT in fieldwork @ Sungei Buloh. Did some observations on the mangrove ecosystem- spotted many animals (snake, mudskipper, bugs, squirrels, monitor lizard, crabs etc) and mangrove trees (Avicennia with its pencil like aerial roots sticking out from the ground, Bruguiera with the knee or knob like roots and Rhizophora with its prop roots) as shown in the photographs below.

Learning how to use the data logger with the pda - testing salinity, PH value, Relative Humidity, Temperature etc. Will be having the hands on application tomorrow. Will post more photos tomorrow as the battery for my camera was exhausted halfway through the workshop today.
