Missed scotch quail egg so much as I could not find it sold anywhere so I made some.
- Boil and peel 15 quail eggs
- Mince 6 big grey prawns, 3 water chestnut and 1 onion
- Mix 200g minced meat, prawn, water chestnut and onion with 1.5tbsp oyster sauce, 1 egg, 1 tbsp shaoxing wine, 1 tbsp sesame oil, pepper
- Wrap the meat mixture around the quail egg into a ball
- Crush the crackers to powder.
- Coat with corn flour followed by cracker powder.
- Deep fry the meat ball with quail egg.
Taste awesome though did not look as attractive.
