Missed the good old Hainanese Pork Chop so much I cooked it myself. Yummy. The good old taste.
Preparing the pork chop:
- Cut half inch thick pork loin (800g). Tender the meat with meat tender hammer.
- Marinade with 4 tbsp oyster sauce, Chinese wine,1 tbsp honey and a bit of salt for four hours.
- Coat with cornflour, then beaten egg and cream cracker (put in zip lock bag and crushed into powder form with bottle) and deep fried.
Preparing the Gravy:
- Saute the onion (cut 2) in hot oil and add the green peas and tomatoes(cut 2).
- Add 6 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbspWorcestershire sauce, 2 tbsp sugar and 400 ml water
- Then thicken gravy with 2 Tbsp corn starch + 4 Tbsp water.
