Day 1
Gratitude there was no traffic jam and reached the hotel in 1.5 hour.
Dropped our luggage at the hotel and went to the restaurant Sing Li nearby for our brunch. My mum and hubby had the dry handmade noodle. Hubby said the noodle is average but the soup is nice. I took lontong and ordered the fried banana and banana balls to share. However I feel the one in KSL glutton food street is better.
Booked connecting room so that we could take care of my mum. She loves how spacious the room is and the big TV.
Cross over to KSL glutton food street for more food.
The fried banana and banana ball is indeed better at KSL glutton food street. Hubby ordered the stinky beancurd again and I bought Cheng Teng dessert to cool him down as it is very heaty!
Hubby's haversack was damaged so we grab over to plaza sentosa at RM5. There was a 70% discount at the store and hubby bought one.
Brought my mum for a very good massage at JTC. We had body massage and mum had foot massage.
Missed the crab porridge from my last trip. Just opposite KSL. Brought my mum to Woon Yin seafood restaurant opposite KSL after our massage at JTC earlier. The crispy squid is very nice too. My mum said the passion fruit drink is very fragrant. Not too sweet.
The main reason why I am in JB on Monday is mainly cos there is Pasar Malam that stretches from KSL to Grand Paragon.
Love the prawn veg crackers and putu piring.
Yay I found the salt baked chicken.
Distracted by the nail stickers at the Pasar Malam.4 packs for RM20
Pampering myself with a food massage in Thai Odyssey in the hotel. More expensive but nice ambience and top notch service. Hubby is so comfortable he fell asleep
Mesmerising night view of the city from the hotel room.
Day 2
Breakfast in the hotel. Mum like the masala chicken wing. The vegetables and pancake not to her liking.
The buildings in the far distance seemed to be surrounded by fog.
Desaru fruit farm. A real sight, smell and touch experience.
Bought the premium honey. RM158
Lunch at Shi Wei Xian restaurant. The grilled sotong with sambal dip and french beans with dried shrimp are really good. The fish and prawns are really big but not as fresh according to our friend.
8 temples village
Hubby missed the belinjao cracker which we bought here in our last visit.
Dinner at Pekin Restaurant. Love the shark fin soup, Peking duck, sucling pig and pig trotters. However I still prefer the sauce for the wrap from East Dragron Hotel. The pig trotters literally melt in your mouth.
Happy that the dessert place in the hotel is now opened from 5pm to 2am. Decided to visit the restaurant the next day.
Day 3
Beautiful view from the hotel room again.
Breakfast in the Hotel. The chapati and curry were nice. Mum love the popiah. Bee hoon and lontong average. Mum loves their half boiled eggs too. I took my porridge with black bean fried dace. The bread is good and heating it was fast.
Grab over to Aeon Tebrau city at RM11. Back to hotel was RM21 cos of the rain and peak hour?
Hubby so hubby to find the bag he wanted.
Lunch at Arashi. Love miso soup base. My mum loved her pork cheek rose set. I shared the beef set with hubby.
Grab over to City Square at RM12 and had lunch at Ho Seng Kee. Love their handmade wanton mee.
Cos of the rain the water on the window formed a natural filter effect on the amazing night view from the hotel room. Good night JB. Last night here in 2022.
Breakfast in the hotel. Took the chapati again as it's good with potato begedil and red bean bun . Half boiled egg and porridge with condiments. Mum took Nasi Lemak , curry wings and mee. Made her a bowl of kway teow as well. Hubby no appetite.
Fried the final batch of yam cake from Ah Ma Teochew Kueh which I grabbed in JB. Fried the first batch of 3 boxes last Friday and the final 3 today. Simply delicious. They even included packet of fried shallots, diced spring onion and chilli. I fried the caipoh (preserved radish)on top of the yam cake separately using the air fryer and then sprinkled it back on top of the fried yam cake with the fried shallots and spring onion. I have sliced it into eight pieces for each box and then fry it. I love ah ma's as you can still see the diced yam in each slice. The chilli is very good too.
