JB day 1

It was a breeze to the hotel in JB from Singapore today at an hour. We were also given an early check-in! Lucky day!

Breakfast at Uncle five coffee in KSL. Other than the butter coffee, we are really not impressed with the food. The bee hoon was too salty. The home made chui kueh doesn't taste as soft and fragrant as thiong bahru. The yam cake has too much pepper. Preferred Ah Mah's yam cake. The soft steam bread was average though the butter was good.

Went to make my glasses at MOG and took a quick look at Daiso and Mr DIY. Trying to reuse hubby's spectacle frame as he no longer use it. 

Foot massage at JC next to KSL. 

Late lunch at You Kee XO in KSL with half suckling pig, meat platter and he shou wu soup.

5 stars for the soup! Highly recommended. 

However, suckling pig was only 3 stars as does not have the exterior crisp and melt in the mouth meat. Quite hard in fact.

The meat platter is 4 stars so I would recommend getting the soup and meat platter.

I went to dye and cut my hair at Covvo again. Dyed back my favourite color red. Will dye back black on my own before school starts.

Grabbed our transport to AS cloud cafe to see the alpaca and Capybara.

Ordered the cat pudding, house salad, Cappuccino and the drink Something Special. Nice food and drink! Love the milky and creamy cat pudding with strawberry sauce and blueberry. The drink Something Special is the bubble which popped with a mist and it is basically passion fruit soda with a slice of peach.

Purpose for visiting AS Clouds Cafe. You will get a cup of carrots to feed the Alpaca. The 2 alpaca are kept on the 2nd level. It was so aggressive I told husband to feed it as it tried to grab the whole cup! They looked so cute and fury.

There is a capybara there too.

The capybara is so lonely... all eyes seemed to be on the alpaca only.

Grabbed to the nearby Pasar Malam (RABU) Taman Skudai Baru (Wed). Bought some snacks, my favourite corn and Bermuda for my son. At Kirin Made which is near to our hotel Holiday Villa. Love the Kirin sunrise cocktail and the Pomelo fragrant fermented rice wine. Hubby liked the crispy pork strips but not to my liking. The Yin yang mochi is very soft but tasted very bland. There will be live band during the weekends.

Nice deco but the music was too loud for our liking.

Went to Heng Wah to pack a cup of coffee and tea. They seemed to have a promotion in which you will get a stamp for RM70 spent at the restaurant. 

Labubu craze. Collect the stamps the redeem the labubu.

Another eatery that's open till middle of the night for desserts. 

Discovered two new outlets. Mochi and Bak Kut Teh

There is a satay truck packed outside Eminent Reflexology. 

JB Nov day 2

Breakfast in the hotel. The curry is very fragrant but the roti canai is actually mini mutarbak with sardine inside which I don't fancy. The putu mayam is nice with the coconut and gula melaka. My comfort food was the porridge with preserved fish, preserved cai xin and salted fish. The coffee has improved and the soya milk is nice. Took some fruits.

At Aeon Dato Onn. My sons love those rides when they were young

There is pretty much nothing at the mall but they do have very cute bear figures.

Took our lunch at Richiamo near to 38 Onsen which we had already booked later.. The rice is so fragrant and the beef rendang is very tender. The mee rebus a bit too sweet and spicy for me though. The coffee and mango smoothies are nice.

We walked from Aeon Dato An mall C1 exit and crossed the road for our booking at 38 onsen spa.

The massage and onsen here is much more better than Mount Austin though the Japanese costume experience paled as there are limited costume,  props and backgrounds. 

Grabbed over to Tea &  Ember in Mount Austin for a Hanfu experience. Hubby wearing a skirt again. 🤣. The staff did my hair too!

Walked over to Meow me Cat house which is just a few units away on level 2. My goodness the cats are so pretty! The latte and mango tart are nice too.

Walked through an Alley across from Meow zme Cat house to get to Shudaxia hotpot.

We ordered the special hotpot with 3 delicious soup base, Mala, chicken and pig bone. The lamb and beef slices were placed around the hotpot. The slices of pork liver made it's entry with a mist hanging on the sticks. Hubby's favourite pig blood curd, Tang O and mine prawn and scallops.

Grabbed back to the hotel. 

JB Nov Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel..The noodle and curry puffs are very nice today. The mixed vegetables would be great if hot. Pancake too cold for my liking. So tempted to take the roti canai as the curry smells so fragrant. The sunny side up was so beautifully done. The salted caramel coffee was so sweet. Should have taken the coffee with milk.

Brunch at Ah hua kway teow. Still the best kway teow soup here. 🥰

Grabbed to midvalley for some shopping. Southkey. Christmas mood at Mid -valley Southkey.

Awesome lunch with hairy crab set at midvalley southley dragon-i. 

Hubby said there are more roe this time round. Yummy. The fried rice is so delicious too.

Grabbed back to the hotel and went for a swim.

Love the infinity pool. However the rain was imminent and the water was cold so we left early. The water was very clear today.

Went for a massage at JTC nearby.

Delicious fish steamboat with most yummy fried mantis shrimp. Also ordered the otah and fried kang Kong. Warmed our tummy in a cold day as it rained non stop since 2 plus.

Nice Black Gold durian from KSL. Bitter, sweet and creamy. Expensive though RM 195.

It rained all day. Nice to sleep in. Beautiful night view from the room.

JB Nov day 4

Glad that the sky is cleared.

Breakfast in the hotel. Love the Lontong. Their nasi lemak is still the best. The fried fritter with red bean filling is nice but wished it had more fillings. The curry puff with curry potato is still as good. The longans are so sweet. The staff are so attentive and cleared the table fast as there was a crowd. Met a group of local primary school kids on their graduation trip. There was also a group from Sapporo high school here yesterday.

At Madam Kwan restaurant in Johore premium outlet. Hubby took the fried beef bee hoon  and hor fun noodle which he said is nice. I took the beef satay but was shocked to find them so huge. It was very nice and tender though and i felt so guilty not being able to finish them. The rose drink with longan is very unique and nice too.

Managed to get my shoes from Camel active. However did not manage to get anything else cos it's so expensive even after 70 to 90 percent off.

Grabbed back to the hotel and crossed over to the coffeeshop to get my favourite goreng pisang. Hot from the wok and it's so crunchy. 10 for RM3!

Crazy me ordered delivery by Grab the noodle from Ho Seng Kee to the hotel. I missed the handmade springy noodle but didn't want to travel to City Square cos of the traffic jam. Luckily there is no small order charge and their delivery charge was just RM3.50 plue 0.64 foreign tax. The delivery is covered by the RM3 voucher for above RM20 purchase and the noodle is 20.70!
