Voyager of the Sea Day 3 (Phuket) and Day 4 (Sea day)

Glad that it was not raining when we reached Phuket

Took some porridge with meat floss and peanut as well as the chui kueh from Windjammer which was just one deck above us - plus our cabin was so near to the stairs leading to it.

So relieved that we were given priority in disembarkation today - Sylvia was waiting at deck 2 for us and the staff allowed us to go down the stairs to the gangway at deck 1. Boarded the tender boat to Patong Beach, Phuket. I WhatsApp Charles that I will be earlier at 9.30 am instead of 10am. Beautiful picture of our ship from the tender boat.

Charles brought us to a local restaurant. Not cheap at Baht 1520.

Old town - love the fried banana!

Wat Chalong

Big Buddha - a lot of tourists

At Promthep cape view
Went to central mall and had 2 hours massage.

Charles brought us to Chillva night market. The phad thai and grilled prawns were good. Love the potato balls. Too bad it suddenly poured so called Charles to pick us up again and went back to the ship.

Hubby wanted to try out Johnny rocket which is chargeable. Not impressed with the hotdog. The one we had at Mariner of the Seas was much better and there were more staff and actually sang for us. Attached the menu for the main dining room dinner which we missed.

Photographs by 5 Photographers! Took 107 photos by the end of the cruise!

Very entertaining performance by illusionist John Tayler from Australia.

Ordered room service for supper again. I like the noodle but the dumpling was awful - so hard.

Day 4: Sea Day

It was a sunny morning and hubby was catching up sleep so I explored the ship on my own.

Selfie at our balcony

Breakfast in the concierge lounge.

Sylvia behind me in the concierge lounge.

Windjammer was so crowded. Brought the porridge, pork floss and French toast to the cabin.

The spread was great with everything seen on Tues... Just that fried carrot cake and chueh Kueh were replaced with dumplings and buns.

Concierge club was not as crowded.. some more selfie on deck 11 to 14.

Hubby woke up but Windjammer was closed so just gotten sandwiches (Greek salad and Tuna) with Cafe cream for hubby from the Concierge club.

Like the mirrors in the room..Sudden downpour so stayed in the cabin. Not many TV channels and so few movies available.

Was at the deck when we realised our clock is 1hour slower so we quickly went to Izumi as our reservation was at 12 and it's already 1230pm according to the clock at the deck bar.

Lunch at Izumi. Hubby said the beef at the JB hotel better as the beef really melt in your mouth. He liked the shasimi platter but I felt it was too cold. Meals at the speciality restaurants are chargeable, unlike at Genting dream cruise. In fact dream cruise also offered complimentary wifi and drink package. So if I add up all the extra charges, dream cruise has more value for suite guests. Also love personalised Butler service as she made sure we have access to priority disembarkation and tender as well as reserved seats to the theatre. They also made our anniversary special by sending a cake and cocktails to our cabin. We were also given a cake for our anniversary onboard Sapphire Princess.

Took the coffee and some pastry from concierge club and promenade cafe. The asparagus soup from Windjammer was a bit salty. Actually the spread at Windjammer not too bad if you don't mind the crowd. Posted the lunch menu in the dining room today (you can actually order it to the room for suite).

Concierge club was a bit hot and noisy so took the drink and food to high notes bar next to it. It was more relaxing in high notes bar which we had a great view of the pools.

Went back to the cabin and collected our passport at 3.30pm.

Decided to eat at the main dining room today. Last night on the cruise so probably atmosphere will be different as there will be singing and dancing by the restaurant staff.

The soup were too salty. The lamb shank average. But I like the mutton and Bryani which I realised were also available in Windjammer.

Met Kung Fu Panda outside the theatre. He wasso cute and gave me a tight hug.

Love the performance in the La Scala theatre by the RC dancers and orchestra. The dancers have completed their contract and will be going home after their last performance tonight. Most of them are from Ukraine.

Stopped by Schooner bar and Patrick was playing the piano and singing.

Surprised that Windjammer was still opened after the show. Took a bowl of tung hoon with shredded chicken and bean sprouts in chicken broth. You can actually choose the ingredient and pass it to the staff to cook it.

Took a peep at the gym.

Collected the album with photos together with all the digital prints in a USB drive from the photo gallery. A total of 107 photos. The highest number of photos taken by the photographers on cruise. Paid $179 ($20 discount on boarding day) and added 5 print out at $15.90. Selected 5 for print out and bought the 2 albums at US$20.

Ordered room service for supper again. The wagyu beef with bacon hamburger was good.

Did not post anything on the last day as disembarkation was very early at 8am.
