Voyager of the Seas Day 1 and 2 (Port Klang)

Day 1 Boarding Voyager of the Seas

Checked into Marina Bay Cruise Centre. No VIP lounge like Genting Dream cruise. Just a small corner with drinks for suite guests. Had to go out to the cafe to get a bite. Dream cruise do make their suite guests feel privileged. Glad that I have finally completed my collection of RC Gold, silver (junior suite on Mariner of the Seas) and blue (balcony stateroom on Quantum of the Seas).

Managed to board at 11.30 am and we went up to Windjammer as the room was not ready.

Nice seating at Chop grille for suite guests. But we still need to get food from Windjammer. My husband say salute to the chef, chicken, beef, char siew pork all solid as a rock. Improvement on the soup though. Potato and leek as well as hot and sour soup are good.

We went to promenade cafe for another round of snack. I ordered Chai Latte which tasted weird. The jello and cheesecake were nice though.

Concierge lounge shifted to Deck 14 with windows so there was better view.  The coffee from the coffee machine was the best onboard. Came here to pack the coffee everyday - its opened 24hr and access to the room was by the Gold sea pass.

Paper cups are provided for take away.

Our Grand suite, 1324, on deck 10 was at the hump so the balcony is bigger. Like the strong jet of water for the shower but the flush for the toilet bowl not that strong. The water from the tap was also yellowish.

Did not use this as the coffee from the concierge was so good.

basket of fruits complimentary in the suite

The following are 360 degree view of the room

Went for the Muster drill at 4.30pm - so very hot. Pity the elderly as I could not stand the heat myself.

Our ship set sail and we went to the promenade for the Dreamworks Parade. Had been missing that in the last 2 cruises with RC.

We decided to have our dinner in the room at 6 pm. This is one of the perks for suite guest being able to order from main dining room menu to the cabin. The broiled lobster is chargeable at $29.90 whereas the rest are complimentary. The portion of the appetizer which is cheese scallops is small and I should have ordered two as I love it. The grilled chicken is not as nice but I do love hubby's sweet sour pork. Don't like the rice as it's too hard.

We went to the concierge club again for some complimentary cocktail and snacks (served 5 to 8 pm every night)for suite guests.

Francisco from concierge was so friendly.

Chapel on deck 15 was empty and converted to a children playground....

Nice view of the pool area from high notes next to the concierge club on deck 14.

Casino floor

Some photographs by the photographer at Deck 4 and 5 before going for our shows.

Went to the star lounge to enjoy the performance by the orchestra before going for the Ice Odyssey show in Studio B deck 3.

Supper from room service - complimentary for suite guests but chargeable at 7.95 for other cabins.

Day 2 Port Klang
Raining heavily when we reached Port Klang - Thunder and lightning.

Access to the concierge club using the sea pass. Just swipe the sea pass on the door access to the left of the door.

So different when I was at Port Klang in 2015. The taxi service was at the complex then but now it's a small counter at the carpark. Luckily the rain is not heavy. Updated by driver that this is Westport and the one I went to in 2015 was Boustead cruise centre. Think that's much better. Just upset that they told me suite guests have priority disembarking but that's not the case. Had to queue behind the tour groups. Hope it isn't so tomorrow. Such a great difference from Genting Dream cruise. Don't feel that the suite guests are given any suite treatment in disembarkation. In Dream cruise, the Butler personally escorted us down... Maybe too pampered by the cruise last year.
Just going to tour around Port Klang with 2 main destinations in mind - Chong Kok Kopitiam and Aeon shopping mall then back to the port at 1.30pm. Was charged RM200.

The food at Chong Kok Kopitiam made my day. Found my favourite goreng pisang and strong coffee at Chong kok kopitiam. Unique egg on toast and I love their kaya butter toast too.  The Nasi Lemak was a bit spicy for us but the portion was small.

As the mall would not be opened until 10am, our driver brought us to see the Istana and a Chinese temple.

There is a foodcourt in the mall but we decided to try the mee rebus in Nonya delights - not as nice.

Decided to eat at TangShifu.- I have always love the mee sua.

Some chocolates sent to the room - wonder whether its for suite guests or gold members?

Also saw the dining room menu for the day so we decided to order it into the room though its formal night - will go out after dinner to take picture with the captain.

As it was still early, I decided to just look around deck 11 and 12. The flow rider and rock climbing are very popular. Not many in the pool - think it was too hot.

Went back to the room to change for the photo taking with the captain later.

Ordered dinner to the cabin again from the main dining menu. Love the escargot and mushroom soup. My fried chicken with rice wasn't that nice and hubby's steak was average.

Photo taking with the captain followed by more photos taken by the photographers.

Had some drinks and snacks at the concierge club after hubby went back to the room to change. Awaiting for the show at 10.30 pm

Took a glimpse at the dining room - very packed as its formal night.

Ordered room service for supper - as mentioned it is complimentary for suite guests. Love the fried rice and grilled cheese. However, the chicken wings were too sweet.
