Archery - Combined unit activity with Ang Mo Kio Secondary

The day started with a threatening sky and indeed it poured from 8.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. We made use of the time when it rained to get to know the 17 cadets from Ang Mo Kio Secondary better. Thank God the rain stopped at 9 a.m. The cadets were split into 3 groups and everyone started practising with their bows. Ms Vani and Ms Chan (from AMK Sec) also tried - I gave it a miss as I had already done so last year. Jiawei from our unit and Winnie from AMK Sec were the winners for the individual round. Team 3 won the group event and our team won against AMK Sec. The cadets also managed to practise with shooting at balloons. I think they found that more fun. Some cadets commented that last year's archery at the Bukit Timah field was more fun as there are 3 stations - one with the bull eye, one in which they had to shoot the furthest and one at animals (pictures).
