JB Dec 2013 Grand Sentosa

Day 1: 27 Dec 2013
All the rooms in KSL and 11@century all fully booked. Stayed in the suite @ Grand Sentosa hotel as other rooms are fully booked too. The price for the suite is RM328 net which is even lower than the standard room in KSL. The room is spacious but we preferred a twin bed and the toilet has no bath tub and looked very run down.

My sister stayed in KSL - though the room is smaller.. there are better amenities. e.g. the guests can make use of the pool and dinosaur theme park which we can see from her room. It seemed that the public has to pay RM50 for Adult and RM30 for kids.. My nephew and niece enjoyed the pool.

Breakfast at Sing Li coffee shop next to KSL - very nice coffee and meat bun.

The meat is still juicy and well marinated - love the bite.

Lunch with my sister at Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh opposite KSL.

This go well with the rice- salted vegetable

still steaming when served.

pork knuckle

Love this - sesame oil chicken!

Dinner at Pelangi Food court at Jalan Perang.

Hubby loves the pig blood cubes in soup.

I love the claypot rice - chicken well marinated and nicely flavoured with Chinese sausage and salted fish. Love the aroma from the claypot.

Supper - Luk Luk Van parked next to the hotel - wide variety of food which you can have it fried or boiled.

Day 2 Breakfast at Ho Seng Kee - the wait was almost an hour for the wanton mee.

Took a 30 mins taxi ride to Tun Aminah 777 food court - a lot of nice food here and the Pasar Malam operates near here every Sat.

BBQ items and Hong Kong style bee hoon from Kimdo

Had Roti Prata in a nearby 24 hour restaurant

Went to Ah Koong which is famous for the fish cake and fish ball noodles - was not impressed with that but its fish porridge which is just like how my dad prepared them.

Love the cut fruits especially the jack fruit and buah keh ni,

If you have children and eating at Ah Koong, be careful, the waitress said the fish soup comes with fish head and has bones.
I ta bao 2 portions home and yes, some bones in the soup too.

they also have a branch at city square.
