Sapphire Princess Day 6 Ho Chi Minh

 Day 6

Arrived at Phu My at 7am and luckily it was a bright sunny day today. However the ride to Ho Chi Minh was quite long – around 1 hr 40 mins.

Had breakfast at Pho 2000 – the place which Clinton visited in year 2000.  The beef pho and spring rolls were good.

After that we went to Ben Thanh Market which I found my favourite bag designs. Pretty crowded at the market in Cholon (Chinatown) and we didn’t get anything there

Chinatown market - Cho Binh Tay - a lot of wholesale items but too crowded to find anything.

Stop over at a factory producing local craft using pearl anda shop which sells handmade ships – really wowed by it.  Went to Notre Dane Cathedral followed by the Central Post Office.

Had lunch at Vietnam house – average and very expensive! The best item was the rice spring roll.

Beautiful sunset when we are back on the ship. Had dinner at Horizon Court buffet.

Watched the performance by AJ Clarke in Princess Theatre. He was really very good and always draw such a crowd! Watched the Yes/no game show followed by the performance by Party Band the sound at the explorer lounge and VOP Duo at the Piazza after that.

Had supper - ordered the vegetarian fried noodle and congee. Both are excellent!
