JB Dec 2014 Grand Sentosa

A short getaway 21 to 24 Dec to JB.

Took the kway tiao from this coffeeshop next to KSL. Love the coffee and bun here too. Getting more crowded than last year.

Found my favourite goreng pisang in the coffeeshop.
Checked into Grand Sentosa hotel..online booking for the family room is at MR204 but when I called to extend one more night it is at MR 184 which is the walk in rate!

The main reason for staying at Grand Sentosa is that there is so much good food here.
We had our dinner at Kimdo opposite our hotel.. simply love their grill esp the deboned chicken wing

fried Kang Kongat MR8 is so good that we had finished almost half the plate before I remembered to take this picture.

most expensive item we ordered here at MR 90 but it is worth it as the fish is so fresh and nicely steamed.

Supper with second round of grill from Kimdo ~chicken wings, prawna and fish. Deep fried stuff from luk luk stall.. fishball, super nice bean curd, beancurd, small crabs.

Day 2

We took a cab to Aeon Tebrau city. Ate at T'ang Shifu and bought my contact lenses trueyes there at MR120 per box. We also bought some DVD frOM speedy video. So happy to find the crystal globes again. Bought 16 and was so heavy so we cab back to hotel first before going to Komtar and city square to shop.

I like the ginseng coffee priced at MR7.9 but hubby doesn't.

The beancurd was served cold... forgot to ask them for the hot one which I prefer..at MR5.9, MR3.9 if you add to a meal

We went to Komtar and found great bargain at brands outlet. Saw the hui Lau shan HK famous dessert chain but it was too crowded. We wanted to eat our dinner at Meldrum walk but turned up to be a disappointment.

love this HK dessert chain in HK. I was surprised to see this in city square. Didn't get to try as it is too crowded.

nice but a bit too much sesame oil.. still better than many in Singapore

bought 16 crystal globes from the store Home in Aeon Tebrau city. 30 Stress balls and 12 packs of motivational stickers in Plaza Sentosa.. all for the students!

Going around the plaza to look for food and saw this stall... remind me of TVB shoWS..

We were attracted by the aroma of the Penang kway tiao and stopped at this stall for dinner.

Addicted to the chicken wings from Kimdo. Love the shishamo, scallop, quail eggs and shitake mushroom which I ordered today!

Tried the almond cookies from this store plaza Sentosa... soft crunch like Jenny bakery.. will more buy tomorrow. The coffee cashewnut is nice but I prefer the almond one which is less sweet.

Day 3

We went to Aeon Bukit Indah to get more of hubby's pant as he could not get the size in brands outlet at Komtar yesterday. Bought more DVD from speedy as they have a sales on TVB series... buy 1 get 1 free. Should not have bought fr KSL which is buy 3 get 1 free. Would have saved MR 59!

Found A&W and took our lunch there. Love the curly fries and root beer float!

We have been taking fruits from the stall in Plaza Sentosa. MR 10.30 for the fruit platter with chiku, jackfruit, papaya, rock melon, watermelon and mango.
