2025 Diamond Princess Day 4 Penang

Disembarked at Penang. There is another cruise ship here so could not get a full ship picture as its now hidden behind the building. A cruise mate, Serena, mentioned that the ship behind us in George Town used to be the Dawn Princess and was then rebranded as Pacific Explorer and sailed under P&O Australia.

Grab is a convenient way getting around Penang so I did not engage any private tour.  There are many drivers waiting outside the pier for tourists to take their cars. 

We grabbed a car to Chowrasta market. Love the chee cheong fun with sweet sauce and rojak sauce. The Wanton mee is rich in lard. I took kway chap which is average

Main purpose of visiting Chowrasta market was this shop selling popiah skin wrapped candy. Love it! Uncle Lim Famous Traditional Handmade Kacang Tumbuk and Poh Piah Skin.






Grabbed over to Toh Soon. Still prefer the old stall which the toast is more fragrant with the bread toasted over Charcoal. Think we also miss the nasi lemak there.





Grabbed to Queensbay Maĺl to do some shopping and ate at Tang souper. Ordered my usual dish of dried scallop abalone slice dry mee sua and hubby ordered the chicken soup. I love my black prune drink but hubby felt his was too acidic.

Our Stateroom steward is awesome. He had the fruit basket refilled and had been helping with the laundry. The room service is also quick to deliver hubby's hot milk and my tequila sunrise.




So "Suite" to get canapes for tea. Small lobster bun, prosciutto with tomatoes on bread, Tuna and cheese (least like),diced salmon (best) and the strawberry macrons (lovely) are so nice. Didnt ask for them past days as I was not onboard for tea.



Bye Penang. Think all onboard that was why we are leaving half an hour earlier.









Hubby ordered Melorosa by Jason ALDEAN read Wine and i ordered BELL glos Pinot Noir. I ordered the Chicken Kiev, which is the reserve special tonight with Frenxh Onion soup and hubby having the Pan Fried Red Snapper with Yeĺo Split Pea soup.








Daiquiri with desserts.



Hubby ordered vanilla ice cream with butterscotch and strawberry whereas I ordered the cheesecake.


The cobbler ice cream is so good! Cheese cake not so though.


ZAP circle in Princess theatre. This is new as the group just boarded in Penang as Bloom disembarked. One of the best shows onboard.























Ordered late night supper on the app and delivered by oceannow. Hot dog was very salty. The chips , fries and cheesecake are good. Also ordered Irish coffee and Latte.
