Day 6

Patter for Day 6

Breakfast at Horizon court. Craving for porridge. disappointed there is no chicken floss, salted egg and preserved veg to go with the white porridge. The bacon and bread not as good as Sabatini but butter is as good.

We went to get the sticker for suite guests complimentary access to the thermal suite and a one day pass at Izumi from the Lotus Spa. There was a free 2 min massage taster but we did not book the package which is USD129 for 70mins per pax as we just gotten our massage at Phuket and this is so much more expensive. The thermal chairs are not heated so decided not to visit though it is complimentary for suite guests. Missing the heated tiled loungers at Celebrity facing the sea.

Free 2 mins massage taster. The message is not cheap. Luckily we had ours at Phuket yesterday.

Lunch at Kai Sushi, also included in our package. Lunch at Kai Sushi is only opened during sea days. Kind of cute they served the hot milk in Japanese cup. The sushi are very nice filling so decided to just get the sashimi for our next visit.

You can see some of the guests at a fitness class in the top left of the photo. Our package includes unlimited fitness classes like yoga and pure barre workout but we did not enrol as we are not the sporty and fitness type. 😅

We were so shocked that there is such a crowd at the main dining room for the afternoon tea. Will order it into the room tomorrow. Did not realise that you can preorder into the room for suite guests. The chicken mayo bread is very nice.

Ordered room service grilled chicken sandwich with flat white and hot milk. Did not expect such a spread. 😅

Went to Sabatini and ordered Rebillita soup and hubby had Insalita Mista salad for Appetiser. Hubby also have Vitello Tonnate which is thinly sliced veal and I had creamy Burrata with prosciutto. We came back for the pan seared sea bass as it was very nice on Day 1. Ordered the fresh berries for dessert. Had Palonoes Tequila sun rise.

Back to Sabatini again. Sil viu, Catolino and Patcharee are always so warm in welcoming us back.

In the theatre for the production show "Born in the wild". Grateful that there are seats reserved for Princess Premier package. The seats will be released 5 mins before the show if not occupied. No videography allowed so I took some pictures.

At Wheelhouse Bar drinking and enjoying jazz from True colour duo performance. Ordered Hemingway Daiquiri and Macklove Gold old fashioned.

So nice of the attendant to fetch the hot milk and hot chocolate for us. Awaiting the 70s party so watching the line dance while waiting.

The Jaame band performed the YMCA and you can feel the vibe of the 70s with the guests dancing to the tune.

Day 7 Sea Day

Approaching Singapore but not disembarking. Turning to South China Sea and heading to Vietnam.

The chicken porridge and bread were all good. The spread is not as wide as RC where there are more Asian selection too. Sat at the aft.

Breakfast at Horizon and met Rusty and his wife Terrabelle. Hubby simply loves them at the ZAP CIRCUS show.

Awesome lunch bites at Santa Fe. Best Thai Spring roll with fried bee hoon. Hubby said finally there is fried rice vermicelli.

Love the summer rolls and corn chowder.

Special is the Caesar Salad.

Passion fruit yogurt taste more like mango cos of the mango bits but nice.

Hubby love the Taco too.

Least like was fried calamari as it was not fresh but the server brought in a new set which is better.

I had Mai Tai and hubby Paradise punch.

In Izumi for the Japanese bath. The warm bubble soak is so good. It was empty so a lot of privacy. Glad that swim suit is allowed. Need to shower before the soak. Took away all the aches as the water gently massage the body.

The pool is great to cool down from the heat. However the main and indoor pool were all very deep at 7 feet. The aft pool is 5 feet deep but very small. Swam a bit at the aft pool.

Gotten a shock when we saw the afternoon sent to the room. How can 2 of us finish that😅. Told the room service to send only the sandwiches the next day. The sandwiches, esp the chicken sandwich, are very good!

Dinner at Santa Fe. Ordered grilled chicken satay and chicken curry rice. The grilled chicken is more like chicken chop skewered and not marinated like ours. The cosmopolitan is good and so is negroni are good. Hubby had beer. Hubby had Princess Love boat and Me the Crepe Suzette.

The desserts Princess love boat and Crepe Suzette looked so good but didn't taste as good.

At the theatre going to watch the magic of Adam Murray. To be frank this is my least like show. Does not like magic as much as music and acrobats.

Hubby watching the Premier League in the room. The wheelhousebar was too noisy to appreciate the performance of the violinist so we went back to our room early.

Day 8

Patter for Day 8

Breakfast at Horizon court. Gotten porridge again. My comfort food.

Hubby took oatmeal.

South China Sea was so rough that my bed and hangers are rocking.😅 Wearing my motion sickness wrist bands and took the motion sickness pill. Hope it is not as bad as it was on Celebrity Solstice 2 years ago. The wind was so strong the captain had to cancel our port call to Cam Ranh the next day. A real disappointment as we had booked the tour for Nha Trang.

Lunch at Santa Fe. Hubby had the red wine Silverado cabinet Sauvignon with his sirloin. One of the best he had on the ship. I had beer battered cod fish with pea puree and fries. We shared the summer rolls and Thai Spring roll. Love the summer rolls as the skin is so soft. The spring roll lack the crunch. Love the vegetable soup.

Sun set on the sea is so beautiful, especially from our balcony with the wake view.

Hubby likes his Mexican Albondigas Soup and tender green with pecans salad. My French onion soup is very salty tonight but I love the watermelon with honey citrus Mascarpone cream starter. Hubby had Cajun Seafood crockpot whereas I had herb roasted chicken. Banana Foster with ice cream for dessert.

Very touching message from Monique's dad who passes away 3 months ago. Indeed live your life. Love this performed by Monique. Falling in love.

Day 9 Sea

Patter for Day 9

Hubby took some chicken porridge for me. Tormented by very bad gastric pain which awaken me at 1 plus. Not much appetite and might see the doc later.

Seen the doc. Consultation is US$150 not including the medicine. The nurses are so warm and helpful. Doc is very understanding and professional. Diagnosis was Gastritis and was given antacid and paracetamol which cost USD35.08. The nurse gave a card to call if still unwell.

Today's lunch is pub menu as it was originally supposed to be day out in Cam Ranh. The beef steak pie is very good as the beef cubes are so tender. Hubby also like the battered cod fish and fries. The green peas soup is good too though I don't like the bread pudding.

Happy that the medication works and I had a good rest napping in the afternoon. Looking forward to the production show Bravo tonight. Beautiful wake view at my balcony.

At Sabatini for dinner. We had Arancini rice balls with cheese filling as starter. I had the Ribollita soup whereas hubby had Insalita salad. Asked to skip the bread though its good. Hubby had prawn spaghetti with lobster and I took lagsana. Both of us had Rocher ice cream sealed in chocolate.

The best show so far. Love love Bravo. The powerful and beautiful vocals delivering songs like you raise me up, Carmen and theme songs from James bond etc.

No videography allowed or you will totally agree with me if you have watched the production. Costume production for this is good too and so is the band and the Baltic Duo.

Kai assorted Shasimi set. Thanks to the manager who made an exception as they are closing. Love love their staff!

Day 10 Sea

The sun was so bright. However, the dark cliuds still indicates the weather may not be good. Temperature feels cooler even outdoor.

Craving for porridge so we went to the Horizon buffet.

Decided to try the Premium desserts Da Vincci which is complimentary under the premier package. My goodness how did anyone finish that. The almond florentine tuile is so tasty! Will come back here for the juices which is out of stock for the antioxidants which sounds good.

Looking forward to our next port at Ha Long Bay. Was here in 2023 so decided to visit Hanoi. A letter stating some important info to take note of tomorrow.

Hubby and me really love hats. Full display on the wall with the magnetic hooks.

Joined the class for Zentangle with instructor Mako. Miss the ones for the last few days. Origami, paper flower, paper cutting etc. The art reminded me of my colleague Faezah Noor . Amazed at her patience. The workshop was 45 mins and yet I could not finish the patterns on time. She is so artistic and patience!

At Santa Fe for dinner. Love the special of pork chop tonight. Hubby had rack of lamb and the sweet and sour talipia. The cream of mushroom is great too!
