Celebrity Solstice Day 6 sea day & 7 Vung Tau

 Day 6 Sea day

Breakfast in the room. The black forest ham and the french toast are very nice. Premium orange juice is so much better than the orange juice as it's from real orange. Ordered hash browns and the sausage again as they are nice too.

Awesome kitchen galley tour behind the main dining room at deck 3. It was not listed on the app earlier and was surprised to see that appearing on the app.

The ship' Godmother.

Sparkling wine and orange juice were given out.

We went to the cafe for lunch after the galley tour. Love the Indian food at the buffet. The papadum was so good! The curry vegetable and chicken were all so awesome!
There was orange with passion fruit and guava drink today which is very nice. The wait staff came around with fruit skewer too.
However the dessert was not as rich as we like them though they do look good.

Lots of snacks at Cafe Al Bacio. A lot of guests went there for speciality coffee which is chargeable or they can get it from their drink package. However,it is always packed and no free table is available.

Rushed to the 12.45pm Mini Macrame at Sky conference centre (deck 14) conducted by Erin again. She is such a good instructor.

Golden Groove performance at the pool side.

We took a nap at the cabin in the afternoon.

We dressed up for chic night and took some photographs.

We had our dinner at Luminae. Started with duck confit cooked with oil and kimchi which is so tasty. Hubby love the Veloute with black truffle and pumpkin seeds. Poached lobsters as main is plain luxury. The 3 desserts are nice too.

I had Bush flower and hubby had bourbon peach cocktails.

The 7 pm show at the Solstice theatre by James Humphreys was equally entertaining! He has a very powerful voice and he interacted with the audience well too.

I have collected 5 charms for the locket from Effy. 5 more to complete the collection.

We sent hubby's laundry for wash and press. I bought the package during the black Friday sales at S$58 plus online.

Day 7 Phu May Port

Decided not to go to Ho Chi Minh as it took us almost 2 hours to get there from the port in 2015. Booked with UPtravel for a shore excursion at Vung Tau which is near the Phu May port. I have received an information from our tour agent that we are going to dock in Tan Cang - Cai Mep Terminal. The gangway will be ready at 7.30am.

Emma will be our tour guide for Vung Tau and she will meet us at the gate before bringing us to a breakfast with pho.

We have arrived at Laem Chabang. The ship is docking now. Excited to visit Vung Tau with our guide Emma.

The ship is docked and gangway set up

Our wonderful butler, Dominic, from India, at Michael's club. He told us Mar will escort us down to the gangway. There was already a long queue there so we came up to the Michael's lounge for the priority disembarkation.

So glad to have Emma as our guide. We had to take the shuttle bus to meet her outside the gate.

Had one of the best beef pho in hot stone bowl!

We went to pack some coffee from Highland coffee. Emma said that Highland coffee is one of the best here .

The building of the Jesus Christ statue started in 1974 and took 20 years to complete. A lot of nice statues on the way. Many visitors came here for the scenic view and pilgrimage.

Both of us were exhausted with the long flight of stairs. 800m to the top where the Jesus statue is. Would not be possible in a few years time.

There was fruits on sale!

Bought a yogurt drink and longan. The longan is so sweet and juicy!

We proceeded to the white house, Bach Dinh, built by the French governor in 1874.

The dressing table, chair and bed are so low.

The Whale temple.

The biggest market in Vung Tau.

Could not resist buying the apples.

Had a most delicious Squid noodle. Rice vermicelli with squid and meat ball. What a great meal! Most delicious with a picturesque sea view.

Leisure time at Thuy Van beach (Back beach) - one of the nicest beaches in Vietnam with the shore running for almost 10km, full of fine sands and white waves.

Another speciality in Vung Tau is the vegetable wrapped pancakes. The pancakes are fried in a big pot of oil using wood! The pancakes taste so good wrapped with vegetables (lettuce and basil) and the papaya slice. Simply awesome when dipped in the fish sauce. Love this so much!

Back to our ship

Bye Phu My port. Moving on to our next destination Nha Trang soon. Supposed to be all onboard at 4.30 pm but saw abus of guests returning from shore excursion at 4.40pm. Luckily they are with Celebrity excursion so I think they waited for them. Hope this would not delay our arrival at Nha Trang tomorrow. It's by tender so I hope it is not as chaotic as today. The ort staff removing the gangway now and it is already 5 15pm
